In a recent development, Naib Tehsildar Tangdar, has come under scrutiny for his unauthorized residence and alleged misconduct towards an office employee.
As reported by AEE R&B Sub Division Tangdar, Mr. Sofi Arshad Shaban has been residing in a room of the new building complex of Dak Bangalow Tangdar without any permission from their office since June 10, 2023.
“Dak Bangalow Tangdar is not intended for residential purposes, and it has been decided that Shaban must vacate the premises immediately,” reads official communication.
Furthermore, he is liable for rent amounting to Rs 90,000, as calculated per Sub Divisional Letter No. 125/SDT Dated: 28/08/2023.
“The authorities have instructed Mr. Shaban to remit this amount in cash or from his salary to prevent any loss to the state exchequer, ensuring that the collected revenue is promptly deposited in the government chest,” reads the order.
In a more concerning development, Mr. Shaban has been accused of misbehaving and harassing a fellow government employee, Danish Razak, while the latter was performing his legitimate duties at Dak Bangalow Tangdar.
“This incident, which occurred as per Sub Divisional Order No. 97-98/SDT Dated: 31/07/2023, is deemed highly inappropriate for a government official,” reads the order.
Meanwhile, sources close to the development said that authorities have taken this matter seriously and are considering disciplinary actions against Mr. Sofi Arshad Shaban for his actions, including the humiliation, harassment, and inhumane treatment of a fellow government employee.
